Yesterday was Father's Day and we were blessed with a beautiful mellow day! We began the day with some coffee and hanging out at home. Per dad's request I made some "Oh Boy Waffles" and they were delicious. We got all dressed and ready for Mass so I had to snap a few pictures of my babes with their daddy-o!
After Mass we went by Grandma's to borrow her steam cleaner because daddy's request for his father's day gift was to get the carpets cleaned.... by me.....
We ran a few errands than came home to just hang out with us! This sounds simple enough, but our weekends are usually SO busy that a mellow dinner at home by ourselves on a Sunday evening is rare! I made Dad's favorite Ribs, baked beans, sweet potato fries, and salad. Silly me also got stuff to make corn bread and corn on the cob and forgot about both!! Oh well dinner tonight perhaps.
Dinner was delicious and we let Georgie chew on some rib and baked beans and let me tell you Georgie, you LOVED it!
like father...like son....
you couldn't get enough Georgie boy!
daddy trying to convince you to try baked beans which you ended up loving
mama and handsome boy
So after dinner we of course gave some very necessary baths and than put on jammies and went to say the rosary and wish Grandpa a Happy Father's Day!
It brought tears to my eyes for obvious reasons. I love that we are part of a faith where visiting those that have died and praying for the dead is a celebration because we know they are onto bigger and better things!!! Just awesome!
I love my family! The greatest gift from God that I have ever received! So Blessed to have Kevin as my children's dad! Thank you St Joseph for being our spiritual foster father!
Love,
Mama
