A milestone for both us as parents and for Zelie! The first broken bone! I have never broken a bone and neither has Kevin so this is a big deal to all of us! Z you were so stinkin tough I am still blown away! You & some cousins were pretending a half collapsed card table was a slide and you toppled off and landed on your arm just the right way....... or should I say wrong way :(
You have a buckle fracture in both the bones of your fore arm.... doc said it is the best fracture to get and it will heal in just a couple of weeks!
You didn't really cry too much after the initial injury and would just act like it hurt a little here and there so we thought you were fine. You kept favoring the arm though throughout the week so when we got home I took you to urgent care and YEP it was broken! You were so tough that even the Urgent Care doc swore to me your arm wasn't broken because you werent' acting in pain at all! He said, "ok ok I will do the X rays just to appease you because I have seen kids with broken arms, they are crying and screaming! This girl doesn't have a broken arm!"
You sat completely still for the X-ray tech and were so sweet and polite to all the docs & nurses involved! I was very proud of you! The tech who put on your cast just kept saying, "I have NEVER had a 3 year old sit still like this before!!"
