Well you guys have the Holiday bug! No, not sick, just getting SUPER excited for Christmas!! To get things rolling we did something old school and fun today! Thanks to Auntie Janet and her homeschool group we went on a little field trip! We went to the Bob Baker Marionette theater! We were not sure what to expect and referred to it as "the Scary Puppet show" up until last night when we thought it wise to not put pre-conceived fear in your little minds! Well we could not have been more wrong! It was SO CUTE! These hand crafted marionette puppets, Mr Bob Baker made himself, came out into the audience and played, sang, sat on your laps, patted you on the head etc..... You were all smiles the whole time! Dancing and clapping along to the Christmas music!
Something about it was so sweet and innocent! All kids entertainment these days seems to leave so little to the imagination and this brought that back! It was simple and sweet and you guys loved it! Z, we went to the store afterward and you told pretty much everyone that walked by, "I went to a puppet show today!! the puppet sat on my lap and sang hipptypotmus to me!"
It made me happy and it just felt simple and old school :)
