As I write this I am sitting at the dining room table with a delicious cup of hot coffee while I listen to the breeze blowing through the pine trees and the babbling brook down below! We are in truckee and the little apartment we are staying in with Grandmother & Pa is GORGEOUS! It is a little apartment over a garage and down below is a stream and lush green grass and pine trees. You guys are loving every second of it! Last night we watched a mama deer and her little baby grazing in the yard and Z you kept pointing and telling everyone, "Mama and baby! mama and baby!! " I love your cute little voice!
We have been having alot of fun with grandmother and pa and Aunt Kathryn and her kids and Aunt Louie and her kids! We have gone on hikes, played in the yard and yesterday we spent the whole day at Donner Lake! You two LOVE the lake. You both played in the sand and splashed in the water! Z you LOVE that you can stand waiste deep and not get knocked over by waves like in the ocean! You played a bunch with Max and Bridget and very much thought you were such a big girl!
Georgie you ate a ton of sandy grapes and sandy crackers and well alot of just plain sand! At one point you were napping in the little tent and poor little guy the whole thing just folded up on you when a stiff breeze blew! The view from Donner Lake West End Beach can't be beat! We are so lucky and blessed to be here enjoying eachother and especially enjoying time with daddy whike he is relaxing and taking a week off work!
After the beach we went to eat at the Hilltop Lodge Cottonwood and man was it delicious! We had the signature Caesar Salad and the BEST Wings I have ever had in my life. Aunt Louie was with us so of course we ordered a TON of delicious food! Also na beautiful view and you guys were excellent the whole time. Georgie slept and Zelie your eyes lit up with they served our dessert! You kept pointing to it and saying, "Mama me please! Me please!!!" I love your cute little voice!
I will write more in a couple of days, but for now I am going to go enjoy the cool gorgeous scenery!
